Step 2- Your Dashboard
The Dashboard is the first screen you see when you log into the administration area of your blog.
The main idea of the dashboard is to give you a place where you can get an at-a-glance overview of what’s happening with your blog. You’ll also be able to control everything about your profile from your Dashboard.
Once you find your way around the dashboard, you’ll realize it’s really easy to use and navigate. First we’ll take a look at the dashboard home screen. After you first log in, you’ll see a top menu with some quick links to help you get started. The next section is the left navigation menu seen in the photo below.
You can catch up on news, view your draft posts, see who’s messaging you or how popular your content’s been, quickly put out a no-frills post, or check out replies on your latest comments. It’s like a bird’s eye view of operations, from which you can swoop down into the particular details.
Now let’s move on to step 3–>
STEP 3 – Completing Your Profile Your profile is the information you’d like to be shown along with your name when you comment on the EBC blog. You can update your profile by visiting your Profile Settings page or clicking on your Gravatar in the upper-right corner.
Tell us about yourself. Share a little biographical information to fill out your profile. This may be shown publicly. Now is also the time to change your password to something you can easily remember.
