What is Apocrypha?
Explanation:The term "apocrypha" comes from the Greek word meaning "hidden" or "secret". Apocrypha are works, usually written, of unknown authorship or of doubtful origin. The Old Testament Apocrypha consists of 11-14 books, depending upon how they are divided, that the Roman Catholic Church adds to the Old Testament. The Protestants reject these books as Holy Scripture for the following reasons.
1. The Apocrypha Has Different Doctrine And Practices Than Holy Scripture. 2. The Apocrypha Has Always Been Rejected By The Jews As Scripture. 3. They do not give any evidence as being authoritative.

What is canonical Scriptures?
Explanation:The "canon" of Scripture is defined as the books of the Bible officially accepted as Holy Scripture. Written by about forty authors over the course of 1500 years, it was essential that a list be drawn up of the books which reflected the truth of God's message and were inspired by the Holy Spirit.
Reference: All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, Romans 15:4
It is important to note that the writings of Scripture were canonical at the moment they were written. Scripture was Scripture when the pen touched the parchment. This is very important because Christianity does not start by defining God, or Jesus Christ, or salvation. The basis of Christianity is found in the authority of Scripture.
